Our Story
Rebecca Powell graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2012 with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Sculpture. She is a working artist who teaches high school art. Pheonix Farms Mural, 2022
In 2022, the owner of Phoenix Farms asked me to take her logo (created by another artist), alter it so it’s wings were spread, then paint it exactly as it looks onto a barn door that was a family heirloom. I was nervous to be tasked with such an important project, but I took the responsibility seriously and enjoyed the process of creating something that has a meaningful place in their home.
